Woman Injured in Joliet Crash While 9 Months Pregnant

Chicago, IL (Law Firm Newswire)

December 28, 2022 – Chicago law firm Briskman Briskman & Greenberg is representing a woman injured in a car accident in Joliet, Illinois, while nine months pregnant.

The crash occurred on August 31, 2022. According to Illinois State Police, it involved three vehicles, one of which was unoccupied. A 56-year-old male driver was killed in the collision.

Tialonda Robinson, 38, was rushed to an area hospital to receive treatment for her injuries. She underwent surgery and delivered her baby after doctors induced labor.

“Car accident victims have the right to pursue compensation for their injuries through a personal injury lawsuit,” commented Paul Greenberg, a personal injury attorney with Briskman Briskman & Greenberg, the law firm representing Robinson. “Crashes can result in expensive medical bills, lost wages, emotional distress and other related costs. In this case, our client gave birth early due to the collision.”

Robinson was traveling eastbound on Washington Street in her silver 2012 Hyundai Veloster at the time of the crash. The collision occurred when the front end of her vehicle came into contact with the driver’s side of a white 2010 Toyota Avalon.

Illinois State Police said Michael Langlois, of New Lenox, was driving the Toyota northbound on Washington Street. He had exited a parking lot south of Washington Street and west of Park Road.

The impact between the two vehicles sent Langlois’s Toyota into a parking lot. His vehicle spun around, and its rear end crashed into the front of an unoccupied parked car. Langlois was airlifted to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

“The statute of limitations for a car accident lawsuit in Illinois is typically two years. Failure to file a claim before this time frame expires can mean a crash victim is no longer able to receive compensation for their injuries,” said Greenberg. “Consulting an experienced personal injury lawyer after a collision can ensure you do not lose your right to pursue damages.”

Briskman Briskman & Greenberg is committed to helping clients obtain compensation when they have been injured due to someone else’s negligence. For nearly 40 years, the law firm’s personal injury lawyers have successfully represented individuals and families in personal injury cases in Chicago, Joliet, Waukegan and throughout Cook County, Lake County and Will County.
