Hello All! I’m Turner.
I am a Fullstack Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in coding and systems design, and a diverse professional background across multiple industries.
My experience includes designing and building data delivery pipelines, distributed systems, and creating low latency/high traffic software. I worked as an SDE II at Amazon for several years before moving to North Carolina and becoming a Summer Camp Director where I have been for the past 2 years. While Summer Camps aren’t necessarily thought of as being in the tech space, I was regularly able to use my software engineering chops and built out a suite of in-house software that streamlined camp operations and enhanced the camper/parent experience with payments, forms, and camper communications.
I consider myself an adaptable problem solver with strong leadership skills, having led teams of up to 8 seasonal and 4 year-round employees. I’m very interested in working for smaller, US-based startups and companies, but am open to hearing about all opportunities.
In my free-time, I love to run and paraglide. I would love to find a job that would allow me the flexibility to continue to pursue paragliding as a hobby.
